Installed R19 on Vista 32bit, but have problem

R19 now lets you install (as you would on XP), but when I open catia all I get is the background for each workbench. ie; solid blue for part/products and solid white for drafting.

There is no tree or compass. The tools/options also does not show the tree.

Anyone else have this problem. (Installs fine on XP)

thanks in advanced

yeah I tried many things.... all there is is the blue background.
There is no tree in the tools options or the standards.

everything else seems to be there, just can't see it.

Hi guys,

The problem indeed comes from a small issue of sizing between the CATIA window and the informations issues from your screen and your graphic adapter resolution.

The methodology to overcome this issue is detailed here :

http://campus.3ds.com/students/support/c…ion/experience/

In short :

•You must update the CATIA environment file adding the following inputs at the end of the file:
CATWidthMMOfScreen=(Screen width value un millimeters => measured on your screen)
CATHeightMMOfScreen=(screen height value in millimeters => measured on your screen)
CATWidthPixelOfScreen=(horizontal screen resolution set in your computer display properties panel)
CATHeightPixelOfScreen=(vertical screen resolution set in your computer display properties panel)

•And you must remove the existing CATSettings!

Hi
I tried all the recommendations in environment file and VISTA as well
No effect ;(

However, if I run the program in safe mode with network, every display appears and is proper
Kindly advice how to bring display in regular vista mode also

Even if I would still recommand you to verify step by step that you have not forget something in the method I linked in my previous post, (it's so easy to forget to remove the CATSettings for example or not to save correctly a file ...) another possibility is the one given by Peterguy => it's perhaps comming from an incompatibility of your Display drivers. Just try to change those to another version to see if it gives you more chance to get a proper display.

What is your screen resolution and the graphical drivers used in Safe mode ? What is your screen resolution in standard mode ? What is your graphic adaptor ? Have you correctly measured your screen in millimeters ? etc etc..

CATIA is "slightly" sensitive to the graphic part of the computer . Also the previous proposed method only works if you follow every step ;)
